EUDR requirements and how we prepare for it

Our commitment

The aim of the EUDR regulation is fully in line with the commitment of Blaser Trading to reduce the negative impact of coffee production on the environment.

From January 1, 2025, Blaser Trading will only sell EUDR-compliant coffee to our customers in the EU. On request also to customers in Switzerland and outside any of the EU-countries. We will work with you to ensure that your green coffee beans will be delivered with all the required information.

The EUDR regulation briefly explained:

EUDR is a regulation and stands for the EU Regulation on deforestation-free products. The objective of the EU regulation is to halt deforestation. Coffee is one of the seven commodities included and thus required to be “deforestation-free” from cut-off date of 31.12.2020.

On 29 June 2023 the EUDR entered into force. Latest by 1 January 2025 all coffee that is placed and legally made available on the EU market has to be EUDR compliant.

Due-Diligence Statement DDS

  • - type of coffee
  • - quantity
  • - country of production
  • - geolocation of all plots of land where the coffee has been produced
  • - production in accordance with relevant country legislation

Risk Assessment (Art. 10) and Risk mitigation (Art. 11)
